INDICATIONS:
​Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Not recommended for use in any type of metabolic acidosis and diabetic pre-coma

Patients with severe renal failure (GFR < 30 mL/min)

Acute conditions with the potential to alter renal function (dehydration, severe infection, or shock)

Disease that may cause tissue hypoxia such as acute or worsening of chronic disease, decompensated heart failure, respiratory failure, recent MI, or shock

Hepatic insufficiency, acute alcohol intoxication, alcoholism

Hypersensitivity to metformin or its excipients

CONTENTS:
Each injection contains 500 mg of Metformin Hydrochloride​
DOSAGE:

Initial dose of 500 mg once or twice daily or individualize for patients as prescribed by physician based on blood sugar control

If control is not obtained in 2 weeks, a gradual increase to a maximum of 3g daily with caution for 10 to 14 days
-
Should be taken with meals
